I have been visiting Gujarat every 2-3 years since 1986, sometimes every year and the maximum progress I found with respect to Navsari and the nearby villages was after the BJP came to power in Gujarat. I assume that this must be true for all of Gujarat as well. Do not want this to be a political rant. But the cause of the most misery is poverty, alleviate that and people become happy and they will forget differences about religion and castes.
